Bilikiki has finished another 10 day trip around the Solomons and what a great trip it was! We were blessed with fantastic weather, stunning dives and good times! Our guests came from California, Hawaii and Canada, but they were like good old friends after only a few hours on the boat.
We started the trip in the Russell Islands, where beautiful sunshine gave Leru Cut and Mirror Pond that "magical light" with beams of light coming down. Mary Island once again lived up to its reputation with schooling jacks, barracudas and snappers. In Marovo Lagoon our divers especially enjoyed the stunning coral gardens of Kicha and Mbulo Canyons, as well as the visits to the wood carvers. The village of Karumolun gave us an unforgettable performance of dancing and pan pipe music, much to the joy of Chantal, who celebrated her birthday on this day!
The sharks came out at numerous dive sites, including silvertip sharks at Kicha and a surprise visit of a big hammerhead shark at Fonagho - happy faces all around! Thanks to Daniel we have a snapshot as well! To finish the trip the mantas came to say hello at Devil's Highway, there were up to 10 at a time! With so much excellent diving the time went fast.
A huge thank you to all our guests and to the hard working Bilikiki crew for making this trip unforgettable.
With best fishes
