What an incredible 12-day adventure we had with our guests from the USA, diving through the stunning waters of the Solomon Islands. From vibrant reefs teeming with life to unforgettable cultural encounters on land, every day brought something new and exciting making this trip an unforgettable experience.
The underwater world here is truly something special. We were lucky enough to experience an amazing variety of sites - dramatic wall dives, coral reef nurseries bursting with colour, and even a few hauntingly beautiful wrecks that whispered stories from the past. The visibility was consistently excellent, and the water warm and inviting.
Marine life did not disappoint! We swam alongside mesmerising schools of fish, elegant eagle rays, sleek barracudas, and curious snappers. One of the highlights was spotting, and following, a shy mimic surgeonfish pretending to be a pearlscale angelfish. We also saw flatworms gliding like living art and a beautiful Heron Island nudibranch with such bright white colours that it looked unreal, a shy robust ghost pipe fish, a juvenile ribbon eel and several cuttlefish!
Beyond the diving, we had the opportunity to visit local villages, which was truly enriching. The carving markets were full of incredible handmade pieces - a few of us definitely came home with extra souvenirs! We were also treated to traditional dancing and singing, a powerful and moving expression of the islands’ deep-rooted culture.
Once again the crew took fantastic care of us: guests were delighted with the food on board as it was consistently delicious, made with fresh ingredients and plenty of variety to keep everyone happy. Everything was just perfect! Thank you so much!
We wish everyone safe travels until we see you again,
Happy bubbles,
Pato & Fernando
