July 10- July 17, 2018.
Bilikiki has returned to Honiara after 7 days of diving the Russells, the Floridas, and Mary Island. Our 16 multinational guests were from New Zealand, the USA and Germany, but as always they quickly became good friends over their common interest: diving! Many of our guests this trip came as beginners but improved their diving skills along the way.
The Solomons showed their best side again with good weather conditions and warm waters of 28C (82F). Our highlights included the schools of jacks and barracudas at Mary and in the Russells, quite a lot of shark action, and on the last day a formation of 7 mobula rays at Petrol Point. The critters left many divers amazed too, from nudibranchs to flatworms, devil stingers, jawfish, pygmy seahorses and orangutan crabs - there were some awesome sights! Some of our guests were also very interested in the history of the Solomons during WW2 and were very pleased to actually set foot or fin onto some of these historical sites.
Once again our thanks go to the hard working Bilikiki crew and all our guests for coming to dive with us!
See you all back soon.
With best fishes
