Backscatter 14 night trip

September 18-October 2, 2018

For these two weeks, we continued to have onboard MV Bilikiki the Backscatter team who taught us all even more about underwater photography and video. It was really nice to have Hergen Spatlink and Erin Quigley back onboard both for their company and great presentations. The diving was incredible and with the group’s wonderful attitude we enjoyed every single dive, what an amazing crowd. We were very happy you decided to join the Bilikiki for your diving holidays!

We started in the Russells, with perfect light for Leru Cut and Mirror Pond. We then continued on our way to Mary Island for several dives surrounded by big schools of jacks and barracudas… and joining the show were a few grey reef sharks and some white tips too. Once in Marovo Lagoon we were blessed with great weather and could do several dives at Kicha Island where the coral gardens are always stunning and the marine life is abundant and rich. We had great light again for the caves in Mbulo and we could enjoy and admire the beautiful sea fans and their pygmies seahorses too.

Eagle rays, mobula rays, bumphead parrotfish, barracudas and big eye jacks, as well as a couple of ornate ghost pipe fish, welcomed us back to the Russells. A couple of days in the Florida Islands offered amazingly big schools of fish, a few wrecks and great marco dives where we found loads of nice critters including a seahorse. And we could not have finished the trip in a better way than diving the two Japanese WW2 wrecks known as the Boneghis, with their beautiful soft corals and marine life.

All the guests enjoyed shooting wide angle and macro and were delighted with their pictures at the end of the trip. We would like to thank everyone for joining us, we really wish we could see you all soon for more diving and great times. And last but definitely not least, we would also like to thank our amazing crew for the great job they do.

Happy bubbles!
