During our last 10 day trip around the Solomon Islands we were lucky on many counts. Not only were we joined by a great group of very lively Dutch and Belgians from EWDR, but we were also blessed with perfect conditions, flat seas and lovely weather. The diving was pretty awesome too!
Our guests were eager to explore the stunning dive sites of the Russells, the Floridas, Marovo Lagoon and Mary Island and once again the marine life did not disappoint. We saw many sharks, big schools of snapper, jacks and barracudas along with all the “normal” colourful tropical fish and coral. Our guests also enjoyed the historical WW2 sites of White Beach, the Japanese seaplanes and the freighter Maru II. There were plenty of critters too, from flatworms to signal gobies, different nudibranchs and the ever popular cuttlefish, to name just a few. Our village visits to the wood carvers in Marovo as well as the traditional dancers and panpipes in Karumolun amazed everyone and were highly appreciated.
We would like to thank all our guests for making it such a great trip, and of course the hard working Bilikiki crew for making it all happen and run so smoothly.
Tagio tumas and see you again!
