Managers’ Blog September 24-October 1, 2019
Bilikiki is back after a wonderful 7 day trip. Our guests, members of the Society of Aquatic Veterinary Medicine from the US, had great fun onboard and enjoyed the beautiful diving and amazing weather we had this last week. We only got one short storm...for the group picture time!
Diving the Russell Islands, Mborokua (or Mary Island) and the Florida Islands provided our guests with many different, amazing, diving experiences they will always remember. We got sharks, mobula rays, schools of different barracudas, schools of big eye jacks, bump heads, 9 different types of anemone fish including Megatron (who still rocks around), cuttlefish, octopuses, different kinds of ghost pipefishes (which made one of our guests really, really happy after being able to film them for a long time!), turtles, bargibanti pygmy seahorses, common seahorse, crocodile fish, reef top pipefishes, soft coral crabs, coral hermit crabs, disco clams, signal gobies and mantis shrimps, we found much, much more in these beautiful coral gardens and stunning reefs too.
Everyone enjoyed the Karumolun village visit and we were all given the chance to participate in the traditional dancing. With the pipes in the background and the ladies singing we all danced together in a circle, creating moments that we will always remember! In heaven there is no O2!!
All the guests also had great fun with the floating markets, they loved every single veggie we bought, they tried all the nuts we got and they were really happy with these new delicacies.
We would like to thank you all for these beautiful days and for being such a great group! Please come back soon for more diving together!
And last but not least, a BIG THANK YOU to our amazing crew for the great work they do and for always being so helpful with our guests' needs!
Happy bubbles for everyone,
Pato & Fernando
