Bilikiki is back after a 13 day trip with guests from the US, New Zealand and Australia. It has been a lovely trip where we have been able to share the wonders that enchant whoever visits the beautiful Solomon Islands!
On this trip we followed our usual itinerary around the Central Province, where we dove the stunning reefs in the Florida and Russell Islands. We stopped for a full day at Mary Island on our way to the Western Province, and once in the Marovo Lagoon we dove our favourite dive sites there too.
One unforgettable soundtrack we had while diving the Western Province was Kavachi volcano, fully awake and rumbling as loud as it can get! Our guests will never forget the sensation in their bodies of the vibrations from this underwater volcano! What an experience!
The diving was great too and we all enjoyed the amazing variety of local marine life. For the macro lovers, we got orange ornate ghost pipefish, soft coral crabs of all sizes, orangutan crabs, squat lobsters, signal gobies, shortnose pipe fish, nembrothas, electric clams, Persian flatworms, flame angelfish, flounders, ribbon eels, octopus and dwarf cuttlefish among other things.
For the bigger fish lovers we got schools of rainbow runners, rivers of fusiliers, barracudas, big eye jacks, white tips, grey reef sharks, turtles, dogtooth tunas, Napoleon wrasses, bumphead parrot fish, marble rays... and so many others, too many to list! It was simply great!
Our guests enjoyed the carving markets as well as the fresh floating markets! It is always a delight to buy fresh produce from the locals to prepare our delicious meals!
We would like to thank our guests for choosing to spend their holidays with us. We wish you safe travels home and hope to see you again soon! A big thanks, as always, to our wonderful crew for making every trip such an unforgettable experience for our guests with your hard work, smiles and kindness.
Happy Bubbles
