COVID update for February 2022
The Solomon Islands border still remains closed to tourism. After keeping COVID-19 out of the country for nearly two years, January 2022 saw the start of the first cases of community transmission in the country. Honiara and other parts of the country are currently experiencing their first wave of the virus. This is obviously not good news for the country but vaccinations are now speeding up.
Unfortunately we do not know when the border will re-open. For trips that have had to be rescheduled, Bilikiki Cruises are offering full credits of money paid to a future trip. We are offering reschedules for trips at 3 months out from departure dates. If your trip is coming up in more than 3 months time please be patient and be assured that we will contact you at the appropriate time. We have a lot of reschedules to deal with and, with the border situation uncertain, do not want to reschedule trips until it is necessary.
For more information on the latest flight situation check out the webpages of Solomon Airlines and Fiji Airways.
We really hope to be able to begin operations again soon and we will be ready as soon as we know when the border will open for tourism.
